the "don't have kids because they are bad for planet" I believe is actually a way to pre-emptively evade the moral criticisms of not having a child, by throwing-down a trump card "I'm more concerned about the PLANET". it's also a way to make yourself feel a bit superior when the reality is you don't want your couch vomited on, or to be awoken in the middle of the night endlessly.

The "concerned about the planet" thing is an utterly self-defeating argument. No point in bequeathing a liveable planet to our descendants if we don't have any descendants.

Yeah, the Goodalls of the world want our pop to decrease, but rapid decrease of population would probably be an environmental catastrophe--3 billion disorganized and hungry humans will be worse for planet than 9 billion organized ones.

also, not one to complain usually, but I thought that the $79 annual subscription would get me access to these episodes, and only the "Ask Me Anything" were included with founding membership. It's weird how the price-plans were compared on the website.
